Aeration

A lawn and the soil underneath it need air to breathe. Aerating it will provide necessary oxygen and de-compact the soil to allow roots to grow deeper in order to improve survivability during times of drought. Water and fertilizers will then be able to penetrate the soil to promote growth and make for a healthier, more attractive lawn.

Spring Aeration

Aerating your lawn in the Spring is beneficial because grass is at it’s peak growth period and can recover quickly after the service. We provide a double pass aeration to your warm-season turf such as Bermuda and Zoysia. This will allow water to stay in the soil so you’re not spending unnecessary time and money watering to make your yard beautiful.

Fall Aeration and Overseeding

After a summer full of fun, the wear and tear that have been inflicted on your lawn will need to be repaired. Fall is the best time to rejuvenate your turf for a lawn you can see the beauty once again as Spring comes back around. We provide a double pass aeration with high quality fescue seed, starter fertilizer, and we cover any bare areas with peat moss to hold seed in place.

Fall aeration helps remove thatch, which is the loose organic layer of living and dead material consisting of stems, shoots, and roots that develop between the zone of vegetation and the soil surface. A thin layer of thatch insulates against temperature changes and fluctuations in soil. However, thatch buildup occurs when the organic layer is producing at a rate faster than it can be broken down. This leads to reduced oxygen, impenetrable water and an increase in disease-causing organisms, insects and pests.
